Full-Time Site Reliability Engineer II

The Opportunity: We, at Flywire, are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer II to join our team. In this role, you'll drive reliability, automation, and performance within our cloud-based infrastructure. The SRE team is responsible for the lifecycle of production systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure with focus on availability, latency, performance, and capacity.
• Understand and utilize Infrastructure as Code and software; write testable and secure code.
• Address scalability and performance concerns, detecting and resolving issues.
• Support engineering teams with production excellence, advocating for best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams in the design, deployment, operation, and optimization of services.
• Debug production issues across services and levels, and practice incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Participate in on-call shifts to respond to incidents.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of SRE experience.
• Comfortable with becoming a generalizing specialist; seeking a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with container ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving skills for complex systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and empathy skills.
