Job Details
At Xplor, we're seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on ensuring the reliability of our systems. Our mission is to protect the software and systems behind Xplor’s services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of SREs through projects.
- Ensure the health of systems.
- Track and maintain SLOs.
- Balance ongoing toil with platform improvements.
- Liaise with other SRE teams to promote knowledge sharing.
- Report progress to the Director of SRE.
- Mentor and train other SREs.
- Eliminate unnecessary complexity.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Technologies:
- Languages: Python, bash, Powershell, C#, Java, Terraform
- Workload management: Azure, AWS, Container Orchestration, VMWare
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps pipelines, Octopus Deploy
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Puppet, Ansible
- Monitoring: Coralogix, RUM, Synthetics, APM & observability tools
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years in a Team Lead role or as a Senior SRE.
- Five years of experience in software development and/or operations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in infrastructure operations including on-premise, AWS or Azure environments.
- Experience with scripting (Powershell, bash, or Python preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot running applications.
- Working proficiency with Git.
- Comfortable with Scrum.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex ideas.
