Full-Time Software Build/Install Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Build and Install Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust build and deployment systems to ensure efficient software delivery. You will play a key role in enabling development teams by automating processes, managing software installations, and ensuring the reliability of build pipelines. You will help us build one of the most effective build systems, designed to be easy for our customers to use. You will work with the most modern and advanced technology stack. You will have full lifecycle responsibilities to create robust, scalable build systems. Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust build and deployment systems
• Automating processes and managing software installations
• Ensuring the reliability of build pipelines

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in building large scale distributed applications.
• Experience with software packaging and installation tools (e.g., RPM, InstallShield, NSIS, or WiX Toolset).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in build tools such as CMake, Make, Gradle, Maven, or similar.
• Solid understanding of operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
• Familiar with application deployment via Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
