Full-Time Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is a key contributor to the development team. They must lead development efforts, design structures, and learn new development tools quickly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on software projects (design, code, mentor, manage).
• Create software design and flow diagrams.
• Estimate effort for software tasks.
• Take on DevOps tasks as needed.
• Identify and suggest IT improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Expectations:

• Travel: Less than 5%
• Hours: 40 per week

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Microsoft .NET (prefer C#)
• JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular, Node)
• RDBMS database technologies.
• Application Lifecycle Management (TFS, VSTS, Jira, etc.)
• Version control (SVN, TFS, Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced studies in software engineering
• DevOps tools (MS Build, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus)
• Distributed Version Control (Git)
• NoSQL DB experience (MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase)
• Software delivery process (iterative SDLC for internal IT)
• SQL Server database projects via Visual Studio
• SQL Server Data Tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)

Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:

Office environment, frequent reaching, grasping, standing/sitting, walking, talking, hearing. Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs. Moderately quiet, frequent interruptions.

Compensation: $84,000 - $117,000 (US locations only)
