Responsibilities

Top 5 responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture Leadership: Lead the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with specified requirements. Establish policy and strategy for solution architecture components, coordinating design activities for consistency. Ensure alignment across business, application, data, and technology architecture layers.
2. Solution Delivery Excellence: Facilitate resource availability and utilization, ensuring projects align with agreed architectures, standards, and procedures. Lead systems design for strategic, large, and complex systems development programs.
3. Consultancy & Client Engagement: Understand client requirements, manage relationships, and develop consultancy services. Engage with clients from proposal to disengagement, acting as a trusted advisor.
4. Knowledge Management & Sharing: Develop and champion organizational knowledge management approaches, processes, and technologies. Organize knowledge assets and facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and communication.
5. Emerging Technology Leadership: Monitor emerging technologies and their impact, threats, and opportunities. Create technology roadmaps and share insights across the organization.

Additional Responsibilities

• Architecture & Standards Development: Balance functional, quality, security, and systems management requirements. Ensure adherence to standards (corporate, industry, etc.).
• Systems Design & Implementation: Lead the definition, implementation, and review of systems development management frameworks. Develop organizational policies and guidelines. Champion design principles and lifecycle models.
• Software Architecture & Design: Select, adopt, and adapt appropriate design methods, tools, and techniques. Specify and design large or complex components. Develop organizational policies and guidelines. Ensure system designs balance functional, quality, security, and management requirements.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure architectures include security, privacy, and compliance measures. Implement best practices for secure software development. Provide governance for security-related decisions.
• Client & Team Leadership: Manage consultancy services and/or teams, provide leadership and guidelines. Mentors junior team members, support delivery and project managers in resource needs.
• Business Development & Client Success: Drive business development, prepare technical responses, strategize with clients on innovative solutions, ensure client satisfaction.
• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay current on technology trends. Enhance skills through training (at least 24 hours per year). Obtain relevant certifications.

Top 5 Qualifications

• Development experience in Java, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with modern frontend architectures.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience implementing commerce solutions.
• Experience with marketplace solutions.
• Knowledge of digital experience platforms (DXPs).
