The Sr Cloud Automation Engineer helps design solutions in our post-production automation platform. The ideal candidate gathers requirements from production and engineering clients and translates them into development projects. They will have a deep understanding of the existing software and hardware infrastructure to determine best approaches to client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and implement new solutions to move automation to the public cloud.
- Manage large data models to facilitate reporting of automation platform events.
- Enable integration of cognitive services to the automation pipeline and manage derived data.
- Set up and manage Proof of Concepts (POCs) with cloud infrastructure teams and vendors, providing findings and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering Workflow teams for cloud-based automated solutions to meet client requests.
- Assist with Development QA during monthly testing.
- Create and maintain documentation and train team members on new implementations.
Basic Requirements:
- 5+ years of DevOps and/or data architecture experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Azure Functions and AWS Lambda
- Experience in containerization infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud-based data lakes, warehouses (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift)
- Experience with Azure cognitive services and AWS equivalents
- Experience with vector/graph databases and large language models
- Experience in Development QC Processes
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell)
Desired Characteristics:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with post-production automation tools (Telestream Vantage)
- Experience with object storage (S3, Azure Blob)
- Experience using APIs (REST) for integrations
- Ability to work remotely effectively
- Adaptability to changing requirements and schedules
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building
Additional Requirements:
- Fully Remote

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
