Full-Time Sr Cloud Automation Engineer

Sr Cloud Automation Engineer helps design solutions for post-production automation platform.

Gathers requirements from production and engineering clients, translating them into development projects. Has a deep understanding of existing software and hardware infrastructure to determine best approaches to client needs.

1. Research, design, and implement new solutions for moving automation to public cloud.
2. Manage large data models for reporting events captured by automation platform.
3. Enable integration of cognitive services into automation pipeline and manage derived data.
4. Set up and manage Proof of Concepts (POCs) with cloud infrastructure team and vendors; provide findings and cost analysis.
5. Collaborate with Engineering Workflow team to find cloud-based automated solutions for client workflow requests.
6. Assist with Development QA during monthly testing phase.
7. Create and maintain documentation, training other team members on new implementations.

Basic Requirements:

• 5+ years DevOps and/or data architecture experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Azure Functions and AWS Lambda
• Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud-based data lakes/warehouses (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift)
• Experience with Azure cognitive services/AWS equivalents
• Experience with vector/graph databases and large language models
• Experience in Development QC processes
• Proficient in scripting/automation tools (PowerShell)

• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with post-production automation tools (Telestream Vantage)
• Experience with object storage (S3, Azure Blob)
• API experience (especially REST) for third-party integrations
• Effective remote collaboration
• Adaptability to changing requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships with technical and operational teams at NBCU

Additional Requirements:

• Fully Remote: Position expected to work from a non-NBCUniversal location, typically the employee's residence.
• Eligible for company benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement).

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
