Who you are:
A Senior Copywriter combines exceptional conceptual skills with a well-honed understanding of effective communication. Works with art director and other team members to conceive and execute persuasive concepts consistent with brand strategy, client guidelines, and industry regulations for a diverse set of media.
Essential Functions:
- Independently drafts content outlines, organizes content, and solicits internal/client buyoff.
- Liases with medical and strategy partners to ensure deliverables pass clinical muster and support brand objectives.
- Partners with an art director to develop compelling creative concepts.
- Researches competitive campaigns to differentiate concepts.
- Meets with ACD to check-in on concept development and receive critique.
- Presents work internally and to clients.
- Articulates the story and strategy of the brand.
- Has full knowledge of assigned products, competition, and market dynamics.
- Articulates how disease/product works and brand story for assigned brands & key competitors.
- Focuses on details, but develops an understanding of client objectives, target audiences, milestones, competitive landscape, clinical background, and key performance metrics.
- Provides conceptual content or content strategy for new business pitches.
- Proactively seeks to understand the greater agency process and function of each department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (English, Communication, or related science, ideal).
- 5+ years of relevant experience (healthcare/pharma ideal).
