PracticeTek: A large healthcare technology company empowering clinicians and teams to enhance patient care with innovative technology. The Engineering Department designs, develops, and scales our SaaS platform for dental, orthodontic, chiropractic, optometry, and other healthcare clinics.
Career Opportunity: Senior DevOps Engineer role within the Payments and Shared Services team, focused on designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure for a new shared payments platform. Leverage AWS, Kubernetes, and .NET microservices for a scalable, secure, and high-availability payment processing system.
Areas of Accountability:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient AWS cloud infrastructure for the shared payments platform.
- Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters for orchestrating .NET microservices in development, staging, and production.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (AWS DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) for rapid and safe deployments.
- Ensure PCI compliance and security standards (network segmentation, secrets management, data encryption).
- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (AWS Monitor, ELK).
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance, resolve infrastructure issues, and conduct capacity planning and load testing.
- Architect and manage API gateways and messaging systems for seamless API integrations and event-driven workflows.
- Document infrastructure configurations and DevOps processes, promoting Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform, ARM templates).
Competencies:
- 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or similar experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale (strong AWS experience preferred).
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration, experience deploying and managing containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management best practices.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and compliance (PCI, SOC2, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS Monitor/App Insights, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK).
- Scripting/programming skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across the entire software stack.
