A Place for Mom is seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer to create efficient, data-driven machine learning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and transform data science prototypes, applying appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools.
- Design and develop machine learning and Gen AI systems.
- Solve complex problems using multilayered datasets and optimize existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Construct optimized data pipelines for machine learning models.
- Run machine learning tests and experiments, documenting findings and results.
- Implement and monitor model and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of models and pipelines in production.
- Train, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems and models as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineers, data scientists, product managers) to develop machine learning applications aligned with business objectives.
- Provide support on model and data-related issues, offering clear and actionable reporting to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for machine learning processes, models, and pipelines.
- Implement and promote best practices for machine learning (coding standards, maintenance, governance of models).
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, with significant experience with structured and unstructured data, ETL processes, and data quality management.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, Databricks, AWS services, Python, Spark, and machine learning frameworks (XGBoost, Scikit, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
Communication: Effective communication skills to convey technical information and business impact to non-technical stakeholders.
Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
