We are seeking a talented Senior Manager for our Home Care Engineering Team.
This team utilizes a modern technology stack to create, update, and maintain frontend and backend infrastructure and tools powering the home care business.
This role entails leading a small but impactful team comprising full-stack developers and QA engineers, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

What you will do:
- Lead and mentor the Home Care engineering team, establishing frameworks for work management and progress communication.
- Collaborate with Product partners and Executive-level stakeholders to identify business opportunities, present technical solutions, and lead high-impact projects.
- Encourage experimentation and innovation with new technologies, building proof-of-concepts.
- Partner with other directors and tech leads across Tech to understand cross-team dependencies.
- Provide tools, confidence, and motivation to engineers to make independent decisions.
- Drive the Home Care technical strategy and roadmap toward business outcomes.
- Champion quality and accountability across the team.
- Professionally develop engineers by helping them build and execute personal development plans.
- Aggressively recruit and hire talented engineers.
- Work closely with Product partners and stakeholders to meet company objectives while balancing engineering requirements and influencing the overall technical direction and user experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or 3 years of equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working on or managing high-performance engineering teams, preferably developers and QA engineers.
- Experience leading teams developing modern, high-traffic applications and backend services.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, XP).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of project management software (e.g., Jira).
- Understanding of metrics and analytics.
- Understanding of CRM capabilities (e.g., Salesforce).
- Understanding of API architecture (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
- Understanding of data collection and storage methodologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Understanding of AWS Services, Docker, and CI/CD.
