We’re seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Senior Manager to lead and enhance our engineering teams across our Lead Platform products. This is a unique opportunity for a people leader in a fast-paced, self-directed environment who thrives on building systems and processes from the ground up. The Lead Platform serves as the central hub for processing family inquiries, handling lead capture, routing, and tracking to ensure efficient guidance to the appropriate internal teams for an exceptional family experience.
Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering – Lead Platform, you’ll be a strategic driver and tactical executor, building robust lead platform capabilities to empower our senior living advisors in providing a world-class experience.

What you will do:
- Encourage team innovation with new technologies, proof-of-concept development, and presentations to leadership.
- Collaborate with other directors and tech leads to understand dependencies, validate feature proposals, and enhance system improvements.
- Provide coaching, confidence, and motivation for independent decision-making and professional growth.
- Develop the team’s technical strategy and roadmap for achieving business outcomes and success metrics in close collaboration.
- Professionally develop engineers, building personal development plans aligned with organizational goals, and recruiting top talent.
- Collaborate with product partners and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, while balancing engineering requirements and influencing technical direction and user experience.
- Influence culture and norms, helping the Lead Platform organization improve its engineering and delivery practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience managing high-performance engineering teams
- Experience leading teams developing modern, high-traffic applications and back-end services (preferably Node/TypeScript)
- Strong understanding of project management software (Jira)
- Understanding of metrics, analytics, and API architecture (REST, GraphQL)
- Familiarity with data collection & storage methodologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Understanding of AWS, Docker, and CI/CD
- Experience in Agile environments, SDLC, and continuous delivery
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
