About the Role:

As a Senior Principal Frontend Engineer, you'll play a key role designing and maintaining the frontend infrastructure powering Unit 42's customer-facing and internal web applications.

Your Impact:

• Own the web frontend for Unit 42's flagship platform, Arcade.
• Build capabilities supporting the business (e.g., retainer modeling, enterprise transactions).
• Provide security insights and protections for customers.
• Build best-in-class product experiences, collaborating with Product Management and Design.
• Lead web UI implementation for first- and third-party solutions.
• Design robust technical solutions to business problems.
• Communicate goals and outcomes effectively.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of senior web front-end engineering experience.
• 5+ years of React frontend development experience.
• Strong coding skills using a typed language (e.g., TypeScript).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with Remix, state management libraries (Redux, Vuex), and asynchronous programming.
• Strong UX/UI design intuition and collaboration skills.
• RESTful API design and integration experience.
• Proficiency with version control (Git), build tools (Webpack), and frontend testing frameworks.
• Problem-solving skills and high-quality software focus.
• Experience with server-side rendering and performance optimization.
• (Preferred) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• (Preferred) Leadership/ownership experience for frontend applications.

Compensation:

Compensation depends on qualifications. Starting base salary range is $170,000 - $277,000/year.
