NBCUniversal Vendor Operations Sr. Software Asset Management ("SAM") Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring effective management of software licenses, compliance, and vendor relationships.
Collaborate with internal & external teams, maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze software asset data, create reports for compliance, cost savings, and harvesting strategies.
- Reconcile license entitlements with installations to determine license position.
- Analyze usage reports, recommend remediation plans for non-compliant positions.
- Implement best practice SAM processes (shared sites, documentation).
- Develop best practices for software acquisition, deployment, and retirement.
- Maintain inventory of software assets, track licenses, versions, & installations.
- Provide specialized knowledge of key software vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, VMware).
- Ensure accurate documentation of licenses & maintenance agreements.
- Conduct regular self-audits for software deployments and reconciliation.
- Develop & Maintain Software Management Product & Capability roadmaps.
- Provide continuous improvement recommendations for software asset management processes.
- Provide analysis, reporting, & documentation for vendor negotiations, true-ups, & inventory validation.
- Create & maintain policies & processes for end-to-end software asset lifecycle.
- Provide remediation recommendations for non-compliant positions.
- Prepare for & address vendor & internal audits.
- Provide ad hoc compliance reporting (software status, usage, compliance).
- Analyze software usage patterns, recommend cost-effective license models.
- Recommend software optimization & harvesting opportunities.
- Develop dashboards for ongoing compliance reporting.
- Provide analysis, reporting, & documentation for software audits.
Basic Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Eracent Lifecycle management tool
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Admin, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in software asset management
- Expert knowledge of software licensing terms & conditions
- Excellent analytical & communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, ITIL) are a plus

- Strong report drafting, problem-solving, & communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Fully Remote Position
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
