Full-Time Sr. Software Engineer - Data Imports

The Role We seek a senior backend software engineer for our Data Imports team, handling large volumes of data. This role involves building distributed systems for automated data ingestion and transformation. You'll use new technology stacks for the next generation of Addepar’s data, computation, API, and research platform. We want hard-working engineers who care about solving hard problems, delighting customers, and contributing to the company's success.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Lead individual project priorities and deadlines
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partners
• Communicate technical ideas and set direction
• Mentor other engineers
• Document software functionality, system design, and project plans
• Promote engineering standards and principles

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Experience: Proven software engineering skills, experience with object-oriented languages. Java expertise is a plus.
• Systems: Experience building and evolving large-scale, distributed systems; experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and data lake architectures).
• AWS: Strong AWS knowledge and architectural experience is a plus.
• Other: Strong ownership mentality, passion for smart automation, proven ability to collaborate and mentor.
