Summary/Objective: As a Solution Architect focused on Site Reliability Engineering at DragonSpears, you'll craft innovative strategies for clients, solving complex business problems and ensuring technology platform design, observability, and stability. You'll lead development teams to deliver high-quality solutions within budget and deadlines.
Essential Functions:
- Solution Architecture:
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
- Translate client requirements into architectural designs.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to align designs with business goals.
- Technical Leadership and Decision-Making:
- Guide DevOps and development teams to ensure technical solutions align with architectural vision.
- Evaluate and allocate project resources.
- Make key decisions on tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, SREs, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment on solutions and trade-offs.
- Bridge technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement and Research:
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Recommend new technologies and methodologies.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Create detailed architectural documentation.
- Mentor junior team members and conduct training.
Site Reliability Engineering:
- Observability and Stability:
- Design logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Architect cloud infrastructure for high availability and security (ingress rules, authentication, authorization, networking).
- Architect and implement containerized applications (orchestration).
- Architect cloud native applications (PAAS and FAAS).
- Improve application user and developer experience.
- Plan for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Plan for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
DevOps:
- Create automation and documentation for CI/CD, application deployment, and developer experience.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Define configuration management tools and procedures.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with support teams, delivery managers, and product owners.
- Drive adoption of architectural patterns and performance initiatives.
- Mentor team members on observability.
Client Relationships and Upgrades:
- Build strong client relationships.
- Collaborate on upgrades and enhancements.
- Promote best practices and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of professional experience (5+ years client consulting preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with observability, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
- Kubernetes containerization experience in AWS.
- Strong DevOps and continuous delivery knowledge.

- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Serverless Framework, Cloud Formation, ARM templates
- DevOps: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions
