Full-Time Staff AI Research Engineer

Distributional is seeking a research engineer to advance novel methodologies for AI system testing.

About the Role

• Explore pathways to enhance our computational offerings.
• Conduct experiments to understand the viability of research initiatives.
• Present findings to the Research team for rigorous review and incorporation into the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement research solutions.

Skills Required

• 7+ years of applied research experience in Machine Learning, Statistics, or related fields.
• 3+ years of industry experience conducting product-focused research.
• Expertise in computational experimentation with Python.
• Ability to rapidly prototype research ideas into code.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced remote environment.

Bonus Skills

• Statistical analysis and testing expertise.
• LLM tooling and evaluation experience in production environments.
• Experience visualizing data in higher dimensions, including developing new visualizations.
