Job Details
Experian Consumer Services is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to evolve our Android native application. This is a remote role (US).
- App Development: Contribute to the development of Experian's flagship Android native application. Implement new features and enhance existing ones.
- Code Quality: Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code using Java and Kotlin. Review code and provide constructive feedback. Ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and other developers to define app specifications and requirements. Integrate APIs and third-party libraries.
- Problem Solving: Debug and troubleshoot issues. Resolve performance and scalability issues.
- User Experience: Implement user interfaces that align with design guidelines. Collaborate with designers to create intuitive user interfaces.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the Android ecosystem. Improve development practices.
- Leadership: Mentor junior developers. Represent the team's work to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years professional experience in Android development.
- Expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with proficiency in Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
- Experience working with REST APIs and third-party libraries; GraphQL knowledge.
- Experience leading junior developers.
