Role: Staff Backend Engineer

What you'll do:

• Design and architect scalable backend systems for high-performance user experiences.
• Build and maintain robust APIs and backend services focused on reliability, security, and developer usability.
• Develop complex server-side logic for blockchain integration and high-throughput data flows.
• Implement real-time monitoring and alerting systems for performance optimization.
• Lead backend efforts throughout the development lifecycle (planning, design, deployment).
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Oversee database design, management, and optimization.
• Document system architecture, APIs, and processes.
• Ensure secure and efficient handling of user data.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical strategy.

About you:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally with Go (Golang).
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, production-grade systems in a cloud-native environment.
• Deep understanding of API architecture, distributed systems, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience leading backend projects from concept to deployment.
• Strong advocacy for clean code, testing, documentation, and best practices in version control (Git).
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
• Passion for blockchain, gaming, and redefining digital ownership.

Bonus skills:

• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP)
• Blockchain, smart contract, or NFT experience.
• Built backend tooling for improved developer workflows.
• Contributions to open-source backend frameworks or libraries.
