Role Overview: This role pushes Pinterest forward by improving data labeling capabilities. You will be a key member of a data science team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply data science to enhance data collection methods and improve label quality.
- Quantify the impact of improvements on innovation speed.
- Develop and prototype solutions to enhance data outcomes.
- Identify high-impact analytical opportunities to improve data velocity, clarity, and trust.
- Collaborate with platform users and engineers to scale successful prototypes.
- Mentorship and development of other data scientists.
- Evolve data platform strategies in partnership with product and engineering leaders.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years post-graduate/industry experience applying scientific methods to large-scale data.
- 5+ years experience as an individual contributor with data science methods.
- Strong track record with algorithm development and improvement.
- Experience with LLM prompt engineering.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proactive learning and continuous development.
- Strong understanding of business and product.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science).
Location: US-based role with in-person requirements 3-5 times/quarter.
Compensation: $163,064 - $335,720 USD
