Full-Time Staff Machine Learning Engineer

A Place for Mom is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to construct practical, data-driven machine learning applications in the Engineering space.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy scalable ML models to address business challenges within core product areas.
• Own the complete ML lifecycle, from data exploration to model deployment and optimization.
• Deep understanding of real-time inference systems, streaming data pipelines, model serving services, feature store monitoring, and latency optimization.
• Solve complex problems with multi-layered datasets and enhance existing ML libraries/frameworks.
• Implement and monitor model and data quality checks for accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, product managers) to align with business goals.
• Provide support on model/data-related issues and deliver actionable reports to stakeholders.
• Define and promote best practices for model implementation, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of ML experience, with 2+ years at a senior/staff level.
• Proven track record of deploying successful ML models with quantifiable results.
• Expertise in SQL, Databricks, AWS services, Python, Spark, and ML frameworks (e.g., XGBoost, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
• Experience in deploying scalable LLM applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to derive insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
