Your Role: Lead the Closeup Ranking and Blending team (Bay Area & Seattle). Manage a stack for 530M+ monthly users.
Responsibilities: Closeup ranking and blending stack, engagement prediction, sequence learning, diversification, cross-surface optimization, shopping, ML efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with ATG, ML Platform, Closeup Product, Content Quality, and Core Infrastructure teams. Develop a technical vision and strategy.
Impact: Deliver results, provide visibility for senior leadership on the team's global impact. Partner with stakeholders to expand impact across the company (product management, data scientists). Mentor senior engineers. Foster a culture of innovation.
Requirements: 7+ years of Machine Learning experience. 5+ years of proposing/delivering ML innovations. 3+ years leading large-scale ML recommendation systems. Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant field or equivalent. Thrives in ambiguity. Experience defining/exploring open-ended problems. Technical leadership at team/organizational level.
Skills: Machine learning modeling, infrastructure, statistics, backend, batch & real-time processing. Drive the team roadmap end-to-end. Understand user impact on consumer products.

Salary: $176,924 - $364,254 USD
