Full-Time Staff Platform Engineer

We’re seeking a Staff Platform Engineer, in this remote position, to lead infrastructure and platform engineering across Azure and AWS environments.

This role is ideal for a highly driven, self-managed engineer with a passion for building robust cloud-native platforms and mentoring others.

You will design and support systems using modern DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling, with a strong emphasis on the Elastic Stack for system monitoring and insights.

As a senior technical leader, you’ll shape our platform direction, drive automation, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence.

1. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, optimizing deployment workflows for security, speed, and reliability.
2. Architect and implement infrastructure on Azure and AWS using Terraform and immutable infrastructure patterns.
3. Automate infrastructure and operations using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python.
4. Build and manage robust observability systems using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to support logging, metrics, and alerting.
5. Collaborate with application and data teams to ensure platform capabilities meet engineering needs.
6. Lead platform initiatives, establish best practices, and ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance.
7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring engineers and promoting knowledge sharing.
8. Act as a strategic partner in shaping technical direction and infrastructure vision.
9. Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical leadership during incidents.
