Full-Time Staff Production Engineer

Change.org is looking for a Staff Production Engineer to enhance our global infrastructure and build/scale technology solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and maintenance of Terraform infrastructure.
• Ensuring robust monitoring through the observability stack.
• Collaborating on scalable service-oriented architecture.
• Participating in on-call rotation.

Key Outcomes:

• Oversee architecture and quality of Terraform codebase.
• Monitor site, internal services, and databases with observability stack.
• Partner with engineering teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective service-oriented architecture.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Core Competencies:

• Kubernetes (must have)
• Terraform (must have)
• Core AWS services (IAM, RDS, ElastiCache, EC2, S3, Route53)
• CI/CD tools (CircleCI or Jenkins)
• Debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools (NewRelic, Sentry)
• CDN platforms (Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Akamai)
• On-call management experience
• Scripting languages (Python or Ruby on Rails)
• API-based internal tooling platforms (Retool)
• Mentoring and leading with influence
• English fluency (minimum B2)

Target Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years experience managing infrastructures of different scales
• 7+ years experience in related engineering roles (DevOps, SRE, Production Engineering)

Employment Details:

• Full-time remote role available in Mexico.
• Full-Time Employee: MX $1,792,500/year gross via local entity
• Contractor: MX$2,330,250/year gross
