Full-Time Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Your Role: You will work on our cloud-based vulnerability management platform, scaling it automatically for our private and US Government cloud customers.

Your Opportunity:

• Ensure reliability and high availability of Tenable cloud products in private cloud environments.
• Respond to support escalations, troubleshooting complex technical problems.
• Develop software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers on new cloud technologies.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle.
• Proactively create efficiencies within operations.
• Create/maintain documentation for operational procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support 24x7 availability.
• Remediate infrastructure and container security vulnerabilities.

What You'll Need:

• U.S citizen required
• 6+ years of related SRE experience
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies
• 2+ year experience with platform development in compliance with FedRAMP requirements
• 3+ years deploying public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes
• Experience with Docker or similar container solution
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
• Strong experience with Agile methodology
• Strong background in bash scripting and higher-level scripting languages (Python, Node.js)
• Experience leading projects with a team of peers
• Experience deploying distributed, microservice oriented applications at scale
• Enthusiastic learner and advocate of our technologies
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• High degree of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong drive, self-motivation, and attention to detail

And Ideally:

• Experience with distributed monitoring tools (Datadog, Splunk, OTEL)
• Experience with datastore technologies (Kafka, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with Go, Java/Kotlin, and/or Groovy
• Experience with Java build tools including Gradle
• 2+ years of operational experience with industry-leading "big data" services technologies
