Full-Time Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack

NBCUniversal is seeking a Staff Fullstack Software Engineer to lead the development of innovative new systems and solutions using emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop prototypes rapidly for new proofs of concept, ensuring high usability and adherence to design specifications.
• Maintain back-end systems knowledge for efficient API integration and occasional basic full-stack application deployments.
• Integrate front-end systems with Active Directory and UX flows for SAML authentication.
• Uphold high code quality through rigorous testing, adherence to standards, and common-sense testing.
• Develop automated tests ensuring function, service, and object compatibility across team work, NBCUniversal systems, and cross-device/browser compatibility.
• Create documentation for developers and business users.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to navigate complexities and efficiently deploy solutions.
• Deploy to cloud-based platforms and troubleshoot application, cloud, and configuration issues.
• Utilize tools for code & test generation to accelerate feature/component delivery.

Basic Requirements:

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience, demonstrated through portfolio and related experience.
• Proven capability to bring a basic application from idea to delivery independently.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred).
• Strong understanding of web design, responsive/adaptive design, and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks, code versioning tools, and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong backend technologies (Python) and RESTful services expertise, integrating/consuming APIs in front-end projects.
• Proficient in serverless architectures, application deployment on leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Terraform.
• Adaptability to an agile environment, incorporating feedback and adjusting to changing priorities.
• Ability to visualize, document, and build system architecture.

• Familiarity with integrating large language models and conversational AI-generated content technologies.
• Proven adaptability in a fast-paced technology landscape, strong problem-solving ability and quick learning.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 (bonus eligible)
