Full-Time Staff Software Engineer (Salesforce)

As part of the global Operations & Technology organization, the Data & Analytics group (D&A) is focused on future data strategies, covering the entire analytics life cycle - data engineering, architecture, platforms, analysis, visualization, and science. We support NBCU's brands, from broadcast, cable, news, and sports to film studios, theme parks, and digital properties. We provide data to advise and shape strategic business decisions.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll design and deliver complex cloud-based solutions using Salesforce.com and AWS. You'll engineer, design, implement, and test Salesforce solutions, including writing specifications, design, coding, agile team principles, and leadership.

Bring designs to life with standards-compliant dynamic HTML, CSS, and our internal JavaScript MVC framework (Lightning).

Champion best practices and guide your team (approximately 10 CRM Engineers, onsite and offshore) in leveraging these practices.

Ensure the system meets business expectations through proper testing, performance monitoring, and security.

Partner with architects, product management, and technical product management to understand business needs, technical objectives, and design considerations.

Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.

Partner with architects, SFDC architects, and engineering peers to implement Salesforce within a unified ecosystem.

Requirements:

• 8+ years proven track record with end-to-end Salesforce implementations (especially Sales Cloud)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with Apex/VF, Lightning Web Components, Aura framework, JavaScript, jQuery/Angular/React
• API technologies (SOAP, REST) and integration/middleware tools (Kafka, Informatica, Tibco)
• Implementing Salesforce integration patterns
• Experience with SOQL, Test-Driven Development, front-end web UI debugging (Chrome dev console)
• Release Management, Source Control, CI/CD, and deployment technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, SFDC Metadata API)

Desired Characteristics:

• AWS experience
• Data engineering, data modeling
• Business intelligence (TableauCRM, Datorama, MicroStrategy, Data Cloud)
• Experience in advertising sales, media, and entertainment

Salesforce Certifications: Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, System Architect, JavaScript Developer I, Platform Developer II, or equivalent

• Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000 (bonus eligible)
