Staff Software Technical Program Manager

Lead and coordinate software programs at Agility Robotics, driving delivery of innovative robotics solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and delivery of robotics software programs.
2. Develop and manage program roadmaps aligned with company goals and customer needs.
3. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
4. Collaborate with software engineering teams to prioritize tasks and ensure successful implementation.
5. Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics, translating objectives into actionable plans.
6. Facilitate trade-offs between technical feasibility, business needs, and timelines.
7. Establish and maintain metrics to track program health, performance, and resource allocation.
8. Serve as primary contact for program updates, communicating progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
9. Facilitate regular program reviews and technical deep dives, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of technical program management experience, focusing on software development.
• Proven track record of managing complex, cross-disciplinary programs.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to engage with engineering teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Deep understanding of robotics technologies.
• Familiarity with ROS, robotics middleware, machine learning frameworks, or real-time systems.
