The Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family, develops and executes comprehensive sales plans, including market analysis and account strategies for growth and profitability. Develops relationships with key decision-makers (corporate executives, purchasing managers, design center leaders). Maintains existing business, secures new specifications, and enhances margins. Works collaboratively with customers to understand their needs, leveraging Outdoors' full portfolio to meet them. Mobilizes internal resources and facilitates collaboration. Ensures customer satisfaction while driving strategic objectives. Monitors market trends, competitive activity, and product performance, providing insights to inform organizational strategy. Requires travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales plans (market analysis, account opportunities, short- and long-term goals, initiatives, measurable outcomes)
- Creates Individual Account Plans (retention and new business)
- Provides specification recommendations
- Executes sales strategies for all Outdoors products
- Organizes customer intimacy events
- Manages inventory
- Makes financial decisions impacting both Outdoors and customer businesses
- Conducts sales and marketing promotions
- Develops key relationships with Corporate Headquarters, Regional/Divisional Presidents, Purchasing Managers, Design Center Managers, and other decision-makers
- Understands the strategic account's business and critical measures.
- Collaborates with customers for strategic information and solves issues
- Ensures action and responsiveness to customer needs
- Monitors and communicates business trends, distribution, consumer/trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance
- Orchestrates resources to maximize sales opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years proven sales/marketing experience calling on national multi-family accounts
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze market conditions and competition
- Understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to maximize business opportunities
