PagerDuty on-call responsibilities: Respond to issues and restore service normality. On-call may extend beyond office hours.
Support existing automations: Tune and fix as needed.
Design & Develop new automations: Create new components and features.
Review & Approve Merge Requests: From Operational Team, applying run books & automation components.
Permission Management: For users/roles, applying run books and automation components.
MySQL Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of MySQL (InnoDB). Skilled in MySQL ecosystem tools & technologies.
SQL Scripting Skills: Strong SQL scripting abilities.
Database Architecture Understanding: Knowledge of database architecture.
Database Optimization: Experience with database optimization.
Data Security Practices: Familiarity with data security practices.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python.
Analytical Skills & Teamwork: Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, attention to detail, excellent communication & collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills: Experience with ProxySQL, Percona Monitoring & Management (PMM), other monitoring tools, Percona Toolkit suite, Cloud Services (AWS, RDS, Azure, GCP).
