Full-Time Swimming Instructor

Swimming Instructor needed in Lebanon, TN.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Swimming Instructor to join our team. You will teach swimming skills to individuals of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups.
2. Develop lesson plans tailored to each student's abilities.
3. Demonstrate proper swimming techniques.
4. Ensure safety by enforcing pool rules.
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
6. Maintain a clean and organized pool area.
7. Assist in supervision during open swim times.
8. Participate in staff meetings and training.
9. Perform basic pool maintenance and water quality checks (as needed).

Qualifications:

• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various strokes.
• Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
• Current Lifeguard certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a swimming instructor or lifeguard is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups.
• Patient and supportive teaching approach.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach swimming techniques effectively.
• Understanding of water safety principles and swim lesson progression.
• Physical ability to enter and exit the pool.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Enthusiasm for swimming and helping others.
