Acumatica is seeking a Technical Product Manager – Warehouse Management with expertise in business management software and in-depth knowledge of order management, inventory control, supply chain management, and warehouse management.
The Technical Product Manager needs to have a passion for understanding the needs of mid-sized business customers and assisting Acumatica in fulfilling those requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Product Planning and Development:
- Visit and interact with customers, partners, and internal teams to gain insight into processes related to purchasing, order management, inventory, replenishment, and warehouse operations.
- Lead solution development across development and marketing teams through product requirements, user personas, product planning, and communication.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and engineering to ensure functional specifications meet product requirements.
- Work with Engineering to monitor product feature development progress and ensure alignment with product requirements.
- Analyze feature usage telemetry to understand user behavior and drive enhancements.
- Create, maintain, and present product roadmaps.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct competitive product analysis and assessment comparisons.
- Engage with existing Customers and Partners to collect requirements and gain market insights.
- Gain knowledge through managing focus groups, community engagement, user groups, and advisory boards.
- Document and present product requirements.
- Program Management:
- Participate in and deliver events and seminars.
- Ensure proper training for sales and partners to guarantee market success.
- Become a subject matter expert for distribution capabilities and processes.
- Product Launch Readiness:
- Execute new product release activities and coordination across the entire organization.
- Identify early adopters and manage the beta release process.
- Review documentation and training materials, providing feedback and guidance to education teams.
- Review Quality Assurance output to ensure customer, prospect, partner, and market needs are met with high satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively communicate new features by developing sales tools (videos, fact sheets, data sheets, etc.).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of product management experience in business applications, especially within the ERP space.
- 5+ years of domain experience in distribution vertical markets, along with product experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain management.
- Experience working with engineering to deliver outstanding products.
- Strong understanding of customer usage of Acumatica and the ability to translate that knowledge into innovative solutions.
- Proven experience working with cross-discipline, geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent business and technical acumen, attention to detail, organizational skills, strong decision-making abilities, and time-management skills.
- Large company experience desired to apply to smaller team environment.
- Experience in building and implementing action plans, establishing clear goals, strategies, tactics, and timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
