Full-Time Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager - Shenzhen Based

This is a remote role based in Shenzhen, China. This is a lead position and essential for building up Bragi R&D in China.

Tasks

• Lead a cross-functional development team of embedded, mobile, and QA engineers located in China.
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address project issues and escalate when necessary.
• Team Leading tasks:
• Development support to SoC vendors integrating and extending their offering to include Bragi core functionality and AI Applications.
• Lead and manage multiple, concurrent customer projects focused on customizations and integrations of our hearable products.
• Requirements analysis:
• Feature support of a SoC vendor.
• Identify gaps between the vendors offering and Bragi's support and vice versa in close collaboration with the product manager and your counterparts in Europe.
• Collaborate with the SoC vendor in the development of the Bragi FW extensions or Mobile libraries.
• FW Integration and validation with the Bragi Mobile applications.
• Support the communication between the customer and Bragi's R&D in Europe, identify and resolve blockers.
• Collaborating with the Mobile team to ensure compatibility between the Firmware and Mobile platform applications.
• Design, implement and improve the support processes (documentation, tooling).
• Support ODMs and test engineers (ODM, at Bragi) as part of the "Bragi certification program".
• Drive our projects by ensuring delivery meets requirements, schedule, budget, scope, and quality criteria including coordination of external partners (customers, suppliers, contractors).
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded in timely updates, clear communication, and quality deliverables.

Requirements

• +8 years experience as a technical project manager
• Strong leadership, organization, and team management skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business terms for stakeholders.
• Experience in working with either of the following chipset vendors: JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, BES, Qualcomm, Airoha.
• Experience with production processes and support.
• Native Mandarin speaker with strong English reading and writing skills (suitable for engineering work), and a decent level of spoken English is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as either embedded or mobile developer
• Exposure to Bluetooth or other wireless communications protocols
• Exposure to Android or iOS mobile development
