Job Details
As the Technical Service Delivery Manager, you will manage the delivery of the database and applications management program, application upgrades and patching process, resource management and allocation.
Interacting with program and project management, and service management practices within the wider business is essential.
The role includes line management responsibilities for technical team members.
Communication and collaboration are key, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs, and supporting service delivery.
You will own the delivery of technical services for Cloud and hosted customers within our Data Centre and on our third-party Cloud offerings.
Working with the technical project management team, you will be responsible for taking new customers from on-premises solutions into NEC Cloud.
- Develop the DBA services team training and development plan.
- Assist in managing the DBA services team, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor service delivery metrics and enhance service performance.
- Participate in training and onboarding of new team members.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Engage with clients for feedback and improvement areas.
- Lead and mentor a team of technical service professionals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for technical service delivery.
- Oversee the management of complex technical projects.
- Foster strong client relationships.
- Analyze service performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams for feedback.
Experience Essential
- 10+ years in technical services management or related fields.
- Strong technical background in relevant technologies and services.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data.
- Experience of Automation and Monitoring technologies.
- Knowledge of core NEC technologies.
