Job Details
The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports L.U. Electric, Inc. with accurate invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. This temporary, part-time position lasts approximately three months. The first two weeks are full-time for training; then, it transitions to a part-time schedule with a hybrid model (in-office and remote).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments/transactions.
- Maintain and update customer records (changes in contact/billing).
- Draft past-due notices and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Review account activity, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with the Accounting Manager.
- Assist in generating monthly billing statements and reconciling revenue accounts.
- Prepare and manage vendor accounts/process invoices (QuickBooks Online).
- Respond to internal/external inquiries (accounts, payments, documentation).
- Perform general administrative tasks (filing, scanning, phone calls).
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Accounts Receivable, customer account management, collections, dispute resolution, administrative tasks.
- Strong communication (written/verbal) and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Office 365 and RingCentral.
- Strong knowledge of English and required Spanish fluency.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of GAAP.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
