The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and compliance of automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and systems through rigorous validation and testing on HIL benches.
Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
Execute validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches, ensuring smooth testing operations.
Regularly update simulation models and test scenarios to reflect evolving system requirements.
Develop automated test scripts using tools like Python, CAPL, or MATLAB to streamline validation processes.
Integrate test cases into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient testing workflows.
Analyze test results to identify issues in software or hardware performance.
Provide detailed test reports, including test coverage, defect trends, and validation status.
Validate communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and system interactions.
Ensure that all testing activities comply with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and relevant OEM guidelines.
A Master’s degree (BAC+5) from an engineering school or university specializing in embedded systems is required.
Proven experience in testing and validation on HIL benches. Knowledge of automotive functionalities is required.A minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience in testing embedded systems within the automotive sector, with a focus on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand, or ETAS.
- Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay) and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of test scripting languages such as Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems in vehicles, including sensors, actuators, and ECUs.
- Experience in developing and executing validation test plans.
- Ability to analyze system behavior and diagnose the root causes of defects.
- Strong communication skills in English.
