Full-Time Test Engineer Real Driving Emissions

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will be involved in On-Board Emissions & Fuel Economy team of Powertrain Department for all kind of vehicle technologies: ICE, PHEV, HEV, EV and FCEV.

Activities will consist in complete vehicle testing and analysis in the field of on-board emissions and fuel & energy consumption, mainly in Heavy Duty vehicles (but also in Light Duty vehicles), as well as managing and reporting the related activities of those projects.

1. Test vehicles instrumentation (definition and requirements)
2. Complete vehicle testing and analysis in the field of on-board emissions (PEMS) and fuel/energy consumption, either for Light-Duty and Heavy-Duty vehicle applications
3. Managing and reporting the related activities of those projects
4. Test equipment control and managerial

Responsibilities:

• Involved in projects related to fuel & energy consumption measurements and their improvements in heavy-duty vehicles mainly, but also might be involved in Real Driving Emissions for LDV.
• Involved in projects for fuel/energy consumption as well as exhaust emissions (PEMS) measurements and fuel consumption improvement in heavy-duty vehicles
• Test and data logging equipment configuration, test supervision, test validation, data analysis and reporting.
• Test protocol definitions and detection of potential improvements.
• Master plan project definition and exploding to sub-tasks and milestones.
• Test equipment control and checking according to quality standards, internal and external
• Test equipment requirements definition ensuring suitability for tests
• Daily communications with involved technicians in the team to plan and monitor daily tasks
• Daily/weekly scheduling of tasks. Follow-up and reporting project status to customer and team leader / project manager.
• Contact with other partners (internal/external) of the project related to results and technical topics.
• Quality improvements and automation of data post-processing
• Project Management
• Preparation of the quotation for the customers (technical and cost definition of new projects).
• Presentations (commercials and projects) to the customers.
