About This RoleWe’re hiring a content editor to review and refine long-form content in British English for a B2B SaaS client. This is a freelance position where you’ll work with our editorial team to ensure content is well-structured, engaging, and optimized for both readability and SEO while maintaining brand voice and tone.If you’re fluent in British English, have a deep understanding of UK grammar, spelling, and style, and have experience editing social media marketing content, we’d love to hear from you. ResponsibilitiesEdit and refine long-form content in fluent British English across a variety of B2B, SaaS, and social media marketing topics. Your work will ensure clarity, consistency, and high editorial standards.Review content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors specific to British English.Improve sentence structure, flow, and readability while maintaining the original intent and voice.Ensure consistency with brand voice, tone, and style across different client projects.Implement SEO best practices in edited content, including formatting for readability and incorporating keywords naturally.Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their work over time.Verify sources, citations, and factual accuracy within content to maintain credibility and trustworthiness.Work closely with writers and the editorial team to ensure content meets client expectations and quality standards.Communicate proactively with the Editorial Lead regarding progress, questions, or blockers.
Who You AreFluent, native-level proficiency in British English. You understand UK-specific terminology, spelling, and grammatical nuances.A strong editor with 2–3 years of experience editing content for marketing, SEO, or B2B brands, particularly in the social media marketing space.Skilled at simplifying complex topics into clear, engaging, and actionable content while maintaining technical accuracy.Familiar with SEO fundamentals and comfortable optimizing content for both readers and search engines.Able to edit for different audience types, from social media managers to business decision-makers, adjusting tone and structure accordingly.Highly organized, self-motivated, and reliable. You can manage your workload, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.Open to feedback and enjoy collaboration, seeing revisions as an opportunity for growth.Passionate about ensuring content is polished, precise, and impactful.A degree in journalism, marketing, creative writing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Portfolio RequirementPlease submit 3–5 samples of edited content in British English. At least 2 should focus on B2B, SaaS, or social media marketing topics. Before-and-after samples are preferred if available.
