Contract Content Strategist
This is a contract position for independent contractors in the USA. No guaranteed hours. Work assigned as needed.
About the Job:
As a Contract Content Strategist, you'll advise internal teams and clients on content strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Championing user-centered content strategy.
- Planning, creating, and presenting content strategy deliverables (e.g., content audits, user journeys, personas, keyword research, content maps).
- Leading discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Collaborating with UX, design, and development teams.
- Supporting content implementation and internal process refinement.
- Contributing to Kanopi's brand presence (e.g., webinars, case studies, blog posts, conference representation).
Requirements:
- Must-Have Experience: 3+ years in content strategy, ideally in an agency or client services environment; experience with remote teams.
- Portfolio: Showcase of strategic thinking, content modeling, UX writing, and IA work.
- Tool Proficiency: User research & testing, heatmap/behavior analytics, analytics tools, SEO & auditing platforms, and documentation tools.
- Skills & Qualities: Excellent writing and editing skills, strong communication/facilitation skills, understanding of accessibility standards, ability to manage multiple projects, collaborative mindset.
