The Population Health Analytics team seeks a Data Engineer to build an in-house application modernizing and centralizing Analytics efforts at Privia Health.
The VBC Data Engineer will work with the Analytics Engineering Director to design, test, and implement high-quality infrastructure supporting healthcare analysts, clinicians, and stakeholders.
This role offers creative freedom, team collaboration, and intellectual exploration to solve healthcare informatics problems.
Collaborate with team members to develop data solutions enabling faster and more accurate analytics.
Guide technical decisions and design to reduce disparate and manual processes, maximizing VBC analytics and process insights.
Learn and implement new technologies as needed.
Contribute high-quality, well-tested, and QA’d code.
Own application code as a product servicing the broader team.
Guide team members on best practices in writing, maintaining, and deploying code.
Augment technical skills through subject matter expertise.
Troubleshoot and fix data errors and anomalies.
Integrate disparate data assets into a unified framework for development and VBC engagements.
Facilitate and contribute to developing and maintaining complex models supporting VBC and analytic efforts.
Design and execute KPIs to track performance and accountability of VBC processes.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience writing production-quality Python in a data engineering role.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and popular Python libraries (preferred).
- Experience packaging and deploying Python applications (preferred).
- 2+ years experience writing performant, organized SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical documentation ability.
- Experience working with large datasets, preferably healthcare claims and/or EHR databases.
- Experience with frameworks such as DBT (preferred).
- Experience with data validation frameworks such as Monte Carlo or Great Expectations (preferred).
- Experience with analytics languages such as R or SAS (preferred).
- Experience with value-based care contracts (preferred).
- Qualitative and quantitative skills, emphasizing effective communication of complex data.
- Experience with cloud computing, GCP (preferred).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
Salary: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 (base pay, excludes bonuses and benefits). 15% annual bonus target.
Remote work requirements (only for remote employees):
5 MBPS download speed and 3 MBPS upload speed minimum. Online speed tests are recommended. Internet provider assistance is available if needed. Expense reimbursement is available for remote work.
