We are seeking a Vice President to join our Building Consulting team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set. Responsibilities extend beyond traditional project management and estimating.
Ideal candidate needs strong property damage evaluation skills, flexibility, and strategic thinking.
Required experience: 8-10+ years estimating, restoration, insurance, and remediation, with large commercial complex losses. Experience with large loss insurance adjusting, construction industry, reconstruction, roofing, appraisal, mitigation, cost analysis, or disaster recovery is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate impact of disasters (floods, fires, storms) on structures.
- Assess risks, vulnerabilities, and potential damage for preventive measures.
- Minimize damage during emergencies (resource deployment, evacuation, infrastructure safeguarding).
- Oversee day-to-day project site operations, ensuring smooth progress, deadline adherence, and quality standards.
- Allocate resources (labor, materials, equipment) efficiently.
- Coordinate with teams, manage schedules, and troubleshoot issues.
- Interface with clients (adjusters, brokers, insureds).
- Schedule and perform field inspections to evaluate scope of work/damage.
- Estimate medium to large commercial & residential projects using Xactimate.
- Document, review, and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, correspondence, reports (daily, monthly).
- Provide technical direction to other consultants.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop new business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree or 5-10 years demonstrable experience in restoration.
- Experience working with insurance companies, scheduling, project management, and estimating.
- Proficiency in Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or similar estimating software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word, strong verbal/written communication, and high-quality report production.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record.
- Strong project management, analysis, critical thinking, and detail-oriented skills.
- Strong independent work ethic, leadership, and exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IICRC related degrees, credentials, or certifications
- RRO, PMP, CR, or other certifications
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to wear PPE.
- Conduct inspections, carry equipment.
- Climb ladders, write reports of findings (50% of duties).
- Potential exposure to UV radiation, radon, other air pollution.
- On-call availability, weekend/night work.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for CAT response.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $210,000
