Job Details
VP, Copy, Market Access is a content leadership role in the Market Access Strategic Affiliate.
Oversees large/mid/small accounts and complete commercialization, agency of record, and projects.
Leads creative team on strategic projects, co-manages client relationships, and ensures quality of team work.
Serves as a conduit between Account, Strategy, and Creative teams, demonstrating mastery in market access content.
Owns and oversees all copy functions for assigned agency accounts and direct reports (Associate Creative Directors and below).
Conducts independent research and develops various materials for payers, managed markets stakeholders, patients/caregivers, and HCPs (as needed).
Develops sales force training materials.
Supports and articulates an end-to-end strategy in collaboration with Content Strategy, Account, and Medical teams, ensuring alignment with other initiatives and campaigns.
Tracks and adjusts plan as needed.
Oversees day-to-day market access writers, guiding content and copy review.
Maintains deep knowledge of assigned brand(s) messaging.
Defends and sells the most appropriate content solutions to clients.
Anticipates and plans for difficult situations, coaches team members on feedback response.
Frequently communicates directly with clients, recognized as a copy team leader.
Builds deeper relationships and trust with clients.
Collaborates on sales processes and pursuits, leading concepting, presentation preparation, and new business pitches.
Participates in market research, internal/external presentations, and strategic/tactical development.
Prepares materials for Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) submissions, trains junior writers.
Works with confidential information.
Monitors project progress, provides direction, input, and feedback on direct reports' work.
Coordinates freelance writers, manages freelance work quality.
Assesses day-to-day and upcoming copywriting needs, alerts supervisor to coverage gaps.
Requirements:
- BA in English, Communication, Life Sciences, or similar
- Master's degree (optional) in English, Communication, or Life Sciences
- 10+ years of agency/healthcare writing experience
- 7+ years of market access writing experience
- 4+ years of supervising agency copy for brand(s)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and English language
- Proficient in AMA style
- Familiarity with FDA/OPDP regulations
- Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Organizational, problem-solving, time management skills
Salary: $159,000 - $210,000 (US only)
