VP, Copy, Market Access is a content leader in the Market Access Strategic Affiliate, overseeing large/mid/small account and complete commercialization agency of record and projects.
This leadership position collaborates with team members to transform strategies into impactful concepts and creative solutions.
Leads the creative team on strategic projects, co-manages client relationships, and ensures high-quality team work.
Serves as a bridge between Account, Strategy, and Creative, with mastery in market access content.
Owns and oversees all copy functions for assigned accounts and direct reports (Associate Creative Directors and below).
Conducts independent research using scientific materials to create content for payers, managed markets stakeholders, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). Develops sales force training materials.
Demonstrates ability to support and articulate an end-to-end strategy, ensuring alignment and integration with other initiatives and campaigns. Sets clear goals and measures, and tracks/adjusts the plan as needed.
Oversees a team of market access writers, guiding content and reviewing copy. Owns assigned brand(s), maintaining a deep knowledge of brand messaging. Defends and sells the most appropriate content solution to a client.
Anticipates challenges and plans alternative approaches, coaching team members on feedback response.
Serves as a recognized copy team leader, communicating frequently with clients. Demonstrates understanding of client communication, building relationships and trust.
Collaborates with internal teams on sales processes and pursuits, leading in concepting, presentation preparation, and new business pitches.
Participates in building client relationships by conducting market research, presenting creatively, and driving strategic and tactical development.
Performs independent research and develops informational materials for managed markets stakeholders.
Prepares materials for Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) submissions and trains junior writers.
Works with confidential information, upholding ethical standards. Proactively monitors project progress, providing guidance and feedback.
Coordinates assignments among freelance writers and manages freelance work quality.
Assesses daily and upcoming copywriting needs and alerts the supervisor to coverage gaps or support opportunities for other teams.
