About the Opportunity: This is an excellent position for a person who enjoys driving complex efforts and organizing and managing multiple workstreams that need to come together in service of a larger goal: successfully delivering technology-driven transformation value to customers and shortening customers’ time to realizing that value.
As Sagent's VP Implementation, you will be responsible for developing an Implementation Strategy and go-live plan for our soon-to-be-released mortgage servicing SaaS solution, Dara. You will work hand-in-hand with customers to implement the platform and develop the end-to-end Implementation strategy.
In addition, you will work closely with multiple internal Sagent teams to create and execute on detailed project and/or program plans that directly affect and ensure a successful implementation.
Responsibilities include ensuring timely customer adoption of new products and being the go-to person within Sagent for one or more complex projects, including developing project plans, ensuring resource availability and delivering projects on time within budget and scope.
The person who fills this role will start by developing a framework for our customers that can be modified to manage all future customer implementations of the Dara product.
Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:
- Work with the customer and Sagent's product stakeholders to identify everything needed to create a framework.
- Translate the framework into an actionable project plan which drives the implementation process.
- Own the successful delivery of technology implementation services on key projects, from kick-off with the customer through go-live and transition to steady state.
- Analyze and determine customers’ implementation and system usage needs.
- Coordinate with customer, third-party vendors, and internal Sagent teams to ensure successful product implementation and adoption.
- Execute principal program and project management activities.
- Provide schedule management by creating and maintaining an effort-driven project schedule for each project.
- Control and track project performance, time allocations, cost, quality and overall delivery.
- Provide issue and risk management by anticipating and identifying issues and risks.
- Develop and manage project expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas are engaged on the projects.
- Provide training, consultation and support to the client before, during and immediately after implementation/conversion efforts.
- Mentor, train, and provide oversight to peers and cross-functional team members at Sagent.
- Manage a diverse team of Implementation experts aligned to all component functions of an end-to-end implementation.
- Perform other related duties and process improvement projects as requested by management.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, or equivalent education in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in delivery or project management (with a focus on implementation of transformative new technology).
- OR - Completion of advanced degree (master or higher) in applicable and relevant field plus 7 years related experience in applicable field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Certified Scrum Master is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with modern approaches to implementing SaaS technology products.
- 5+ years' experience in the mortgage servicing industry.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a program or project management role where technology is used to transform business processes or functions.
- Ability to apply lessons learned from prior projects or programs to continuously improve implementation services.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving aptitude and time management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Expertise with MS Project, ServiceNow Projects and/or other project planning software.
Travel: This is a Hybrid role (Dallas based preferred) where it is estimated that up to 50% of the time will be spent in our Dallas office or at customer sites.
