We manage employees and contractors for Fortune 500 companies (e.g., Microsoft, Mastercard) and top startups. We are a growing team of 140+ people. We are seeking a talented Vice President of Engineering to spearhead our features and services.
This role is critical for scaling the technology organization, ensuring security, compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2), and operational excellence. You will lead cross-functional engineering teams, define the development roadmap, and implement best practices.
What you'll do:
- Lead and support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance.
- Own IT security practices.
- Oversee IT support, access, device management.
- Define and evolve engineering processes, structures.
- Drive performance management and professional development.
- Integrate AI tools and modern development practices.
- Lead architectural discussions and implement scalable, secure systems.
- Act as a key member of the executive team, aligning technology with strategic goals.
- Manage engineering budgets, tooling, and vendors.
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations, through data-driven reporting.
- Ensure efficient provisioning and de-provisioning of access.
- Support incident management.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you'll need:
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Knowledge of modern software development, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and DevOps.
- Experience managing IT operations and security in remote environments.
- Ability to work with executive leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Strong communication skills (technical to business).
- Experience integrating AI tools is a plus.
Preferred skills:
- SaaS or B2B tech experience
- Backend engineering, security, or infrastructure experience
- Familiarity with team scaling, OKRs, and performance metrics
