As our VP of Technical Program Management (TPM) you will head the TPM organization which drives large-scale programs across engineering, product management, design and business teams. You will also support cross-functional Engineering Operations, ensuring alignment, process optimization, and collaboration across a diverse set of functional areas. This role is critical to ensuring Seismic's continued success in evolving engineering and product operations to meet global demand, focusing on quality, performance, and innovation.
This role will report to the Head of Engineering, require executive level presence, and serve as a key bridge between technical execution and business goals, focusing on improving product adoption, operational efficiency, and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Delivery and Operations:
- Drive executive-level decisions to ensure delivery across large, complex programs involving multiple cross-functional teams, from inception to deliveries.
- Establish clear success criteria and KPIs for program delivery, ensuring that deadlines, quality, and stakeholder expectations are met. Track latest developments in program management technologies, including the use of AI capabilities to extend best practices for program delivery.
- Cross-Functional Operations:
- Support and optimize engineering operations across a global team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and global expansion strategies.
- Lead the optimizing of global resources, ensuring that teams across different geographies collaborate efficiently.Ensure global teams work effectively together, overcoming geographic and operational challenges.
- Organizational Development:
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration across the engineering organization.
Key Qualifications
- Experience
- 15+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering leadership, or product development, with 7+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale programs in a SaaS or software development environment, managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering operations and how to drive alignment with business objectives.
- Global Operations and Optimization:
- Strong experience in managing distributed teams and global resources to optimize program execution and ensure engineering consistency.
- Proven experience in scaling engineering operations in a global organization, ideally within the SaaS or technology sector.
- Program Management Expertise:
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, with experience in managing large-scale programs.
- Experience in implementing program governance, risk management, and performance measurement across multiple teams and organizations.
- Leadership:
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and executive presence, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategy across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS product development or enterprise software.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud architectures, large-scale SaaS infrastructure, and integration with third-party services.
- Experience in sales enablement technology or other customer-driven platforms a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
