Full-Time 2024-7299_Data Engineer

Data Engineer will work closely with the product team and business peers to execute Data project initiatives. Deliver in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Development and maintenance of ELT Snowflake data warehouse solutions
• Collaboration with internal/external partners for product changes
• Detail design and unit test documentation
• Analyzing business requirements, architecting and implementing Data solutions
• Defining, developing, and maintaining standards/processes for effective ETL solutions
• Production maintenance
• Working closely with product manager to develop/execute action plans
• Recommending innovations to enhance the organization
• Effective communication with business and technical teams
• Mentoring junior offshore developers
• Building and improving data engineering best practices

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of Data engineering experience
• 6+ years experience with ETL/ELT technologies (IICS, Informatica, StreamSets, DBT, Python, Data bricks, Snowflake and ADF)
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI
• 3+ years Azure experience
• Insurance or reinsurance industry experience (highly desirable)
• 3+ years Agile experience
• Experience with Data warehouse/data lake/data hub modeling
• Experience working with external data feeds to enrich internal data
• 3+ years experience with data standardization/conformance/transformation
• Solid understanding of MDM and reference data
• 3+ years experience with CI/CD process
• Experience in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environment
• Automated monitoring of data loads
• Support of production environment
• Understanding industry technologies and their impact
• Enhancement management and product lifecycle development
• Experience with source code version control systems (Git)
• Working with 3rd party vendors
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
