This is a Contract Role
Position Background
This role is part of the Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) team within the Investment Accounting group in New York City. The successful candidate will support the firm’s Investment Management segment, a global leader in asset management across public and private markets.
About the Role
- Gain exposure to financial products, financial statements, and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with a diverse group of finance professionals across the firm
- Contribute in a high-energy, analytical environment
- Prepare accounting records and workpapers
- Monitor and report capital activity and valuations of held investments
- Assist in data-driven projects to optimize finance processes
Job Skills/Requirements
- 1-5 years of work experience
- Proficiency in accounting systems
- Experience working with large institutions; investment management accounting experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Accountability and results-oriented approach
- Ability to analyze information and present it within agreed timelines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Interest or familiarity with financial markets and products
