Full-Time Actuarial Analyst

About the Role

The Actuarial Analyst will lead the analysis, research, and enhancement of actuarial processes impacting financial outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepares routine to complex internal management analyses and actuarial/financial reports and/or external filings including pricing, reserving, benefit evaluation, trend setting, product development, experience analyses and membership estimates.
2. Responds to questions regarding internal reports and/or external filings.
3. Makes efficient use of automation tools to improve report timeliness, accuracy, and content.
4. Builds working knowledge of relevant industry data, internal data, company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
5. Performs various actuarial and financial reporting tasks that are of a mathematical and quantitative nature.
6. Documents and verifies analysis, recommendations, and action items.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as an actuarial analyst or similar professional experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Actuary certification is a plus.
• Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage startup a plus.

• Base pay varies by location, job-related skills, and experience. Current expected salary range: $75,000 - $100,000.
