About the role We are seeking a motivated security professional for an Analyst position in the Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU), part of the Global Intelligence Team (GIT). Reporting to GIT management, you'll join a team of security specialists focused on incident monitoring, threat updates, research, and analysis. This role ensures the safety and security of client personnel, operations, and assets. Responsibilities include incident data monitoring, social media monitoring, intelligence analysis/reporting, and disseminating communications about global events impacting the client. You'll maintain awareness of geopolitical/national issues affecting the client, perform horizon scanning, and produce comprehensive reports on emerging trends and incidents. The TIU works 24/7 as needed, requiring weekend, public holiday, and night shift flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Maintain situational awareness, collect, and analyze information to ensure client safety.
- Detect and assess threats/incidents, determining impact on clients.
- Use OSINT, internal databases for social media, deep/dark web monitoring, producing tactical intelligence.
- Write/distribute notifications, daily/weekly products.
- Triage incidents/threats quickly & effectively.
- Conduct ad-hoc client briefings.
- Conduct research, maintain GIT products (city security briefs, event risk assessments, ASTRA platform).
- Collect/maintain data sets as directed.
- Display creative thinking/consulting skills for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate information dissemination for regional risk mitigation.
- Support clients directly with "Surge" capacity.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Engage/collaborate with other Sibylline teams globally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated interest in security policies/best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for urgent stakeholder calls.
- Monitor news, social media, and information feeds to determine impact of security events.
- Strong research skills for rapid digest/evaluation of information.
- Interpret, organize, and visualize data.
- Analytical mindset for insights into complex situations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
Qualifications
- BA in Political Science, Security Studies, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge/experience in at least one major region (Americas, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe & Eurasia).
- Experience with mass notification systems.
- Experience with social media monitoring software (e.g., Dataminr, Navigator).
- Cross-functional experience in a global security team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
